On December 15, 2020, the Kyle city council approved the annexation of 29.8 acres of land located directly behind Lehman High School on Bunton Creek Road.
The applicant (Adam Berry, P.E. of BGE, Inc.) submits a petition to be voluntarily annexed into the City of Kyle, per the Cassetta Ranch, Jansen Addition Development Agreement. Mr. Berry is representing Clayton Properties Group, Inc. d/b/a Brohn Homes.
The property encompassing Section 5 was purchased by Brohn Homes and they entered into a development agreement with the City of Kyle in June of 2020. The development agreement allows 29.792-acres of agricultural land to the west of Cassetta Ranch to be developed per the same standards of the original Cassetta Ranch project.
The standards are generally compliant with R-1-3 zoning district and have some refinements to the development standards within the development agreement. Per the terms of the development agreement and within accordance of state law, Brohn Homes is pursuing the first step of development (annexation). Following the approval of the annexation, a rezoning application will be submitted within 30 days.
Cassetta Rand developers have begun construction of the roundabout on Bunton Creek Road that has led to the significant detour from Bunton Creek Road to Bebee Road.
