Two local citizens have stepped forward to run for Kyle’s District 6 City Council position recently vacated by Council Member Daphne Tenorio.
Council Member Tenorio resigned on November 18, 2019, to run for the Hays County Tax-Assessor position, requiring the city of call an election to replace her within 120 days.
The deadline to register to vote in the election is December 26th, and early voting will be from January 8th, 2020 – January 21th, 2020.
District 6 is a single-member district, meaning only registered voters within that district will be able to vote in the upcoming election.

Michael Tobias has lived in the city of Kyle for 15 years and 6 months, and in the state of Texas for 50 years and 2 months. Tobias currently lives in the Kensington Trails Neighborhood.
Tobias has been an officer with the Travis County Sheriff’s Department for over 16 years.
